Its important to understand the basic ports of your computer system. Most ports are color coded and share the same color for all PC systems. Blue VGA ports are for the monitor. The purple keyboard port matches the green mouse port (also known as PS/2). You sometimes have systems that use the USB port for printer, keyboard, and mouse.
The wonderful thing about USB ports is that you can hook up a USB ‘hub’ that plugs in even more USB devices such as cameras, phones, printers, and tablets- just to name a few.
The Ethernet port is where you plug in your high speed Internet cable, unless you have wireless, which should pick up the signal automatically.
